2025 …
A year of research, reprises, premieres and new encounters for dramaturg Sara Vanderieck.
In a world marked by ongoing crises, violence and uncertainty — not exactly a cheerful year on a global scale — these artistic processes also became spaces for thinking, resistance and sustained attention.
In 2025, Sara collaborated as a dramaturg on several creations, some of which are embedded in long-term artistic collaborations with Lisi Estaras and Kristien De Proost.
Her collaborations with Louise Vanneste, Léa Vinette, Charlotte Goesaert and the Festival TransAmériques (FTA) also continue artistic trajectories initiated in previous years.
The collaborations with Zoë Janssens and the Festival Zones Théâtrales mark the beginning of new encounters.
These creations and collaborations share an attention to what unfolds between bodies and systems, between intimacy and politics, between what becomes visible and what has long remained unspoken.
Premières in 2025
- Mossy Eye Moor (Louise Vanneste)
a choreographic exploration of sensory landscapes, where body and environment begin to merge - FOE (Kristien De Proost)
a physical and textual dissection of proximity, hostility and projection within human relationships - BAKENEKO – Nederlandse première (Charlotte Goesaert)
a performative investigation into collective silence, trauma and social responsibility in relation to child abuse and neglect
Alongside these creations, Sara once again took part in the Cliniques Dramaturgiques of the Festival TransAmériques, this time as a dramaturgical co-shaper of the programme: a space for shared reflection on dramaturgy, practices and contexts.
2025 also brought:
- a first invitation to the Festival Zones Théâtrales
- and the reprise of What We Can Do Together by Lisi Estaras at the Festival van Vlaanderen, featuring live music performed by Spëcht.
In short … thank you, 2025.
And now … here we go, 2026.
In spring 2026, several new creations will be premiered:
- Éclats (Léa Vinette)
a danced reflection on resonance and on what becomes visible when something falls apart - Under Your Spell (Audrey Apers)
a performative search for collective imagination, magic and alternatives to dominant systems - BAKENEKO – Belgische première (Charlotte Goesaert)
- Nullipare (Zoë Janssens)
a sharp and vulnerable monologue on femininity, desire, reproduction and societal expectations - Back to Kidal (Serge Aimé Coulibaly)
a musical and choreographic work connecting personal history with geopolitical reality and postcolonial questions
Much to look forward to.
See you soon … somewhere between the auditorium, the stage and the conversation.
